Why We Built This

Favicons seem like a small detail, but they matter. They help users find your site in a sea of browser tabs. They show up in bookmarks, history, and search results. A good favicon makes your site memorable.

But creating a custom favicon takes time. You need design software, you need to export multiple sizes, you need to handle different formats. For a side project or quick prototype, that feels like too much work.

Emojis solve this problem. They are instantly recognizable, they scale well to small sizes, and everyone knows what they mean. Pick a rocket for your startup, a book for your documentation site, or a pizza for your food blog. Done.

How It Works

The generator uses emoji graphics from Twemoji, Twitter's open source emoji library. These graphics look consistent across all platforms, unlike native emojis which vary between Apple, Google, and Microsoft.

For combined emojis, we use assets from Google's Emoji Kitchen. These are pre-designed mashups created by Google's emoji artists for use in Gboard. We match available combinations and let you download them as favicon files.

The export process generates SVG, PNG, and ICO files in all the sizes you need. We also provide HTML code snippets so you can copy them directly into your project.

What We Believe

Tools should be free. Creating a favicon should not cost money. There are no premium tiers, no watermarks, no account required.
Privacy matters. We do not track what emojis you select or what favicons you download. We do not collect personal data. The site uses minimal analytics to understand traffic patterns, nothing more.
Simple is better. Pick emojis, customize if you want, download files. No complicated workflows, no unnecessary features, no learning curve.
